The Wolves fans around the Transfer Tavern are in high spirits following their promotion back into the Premier League after a 6 year absence.
Fans inside Molineux couldn’t have dreamt of a better season as their side were miles ahead of the competition at the Championship summit. However, the Premier League is a huge step up and Wolves still need to better prepare their team in the hope of remaining in the top flight after all the hard-work and money it took to get them. With some players only experiencing one year of English football, Wolves may find an attractive proposition to be Celtic’s Moussa Dembele, who previously played Championship football with Fulham and therefore is more accustomed to the English game.
The 21-year-old, who is valued at £5.4 million on Transfermarkt, has performed extremely well for the Scottish champions over the last two seasons, scoring 48 times in 86 appearances so far. Fulham certainly regret the sale of the Frenchman after his rise to prosperity so quickly and yet they could even further if he impressed with a move back to England.
Wolves surely won’t be alone in chasing his signature this summer but their need for a top, young goalscorer should make the club determined to secure such a prospect. The Frenchman has been a revelation for Celtic but with the lure of Premier League football now available to Wolves, their big money alone won’t have to do all the talking.
The newly-promoted side will also be hoping of keeping the same squad of players that made the promotion all possible, with the addition of a few quality players like Moussa Dembele, for example, increasing their chances of Premier League survival.
