Wolves must seriously look at forgotten £13.5m-rated Man City man should he become fit again

The Wolves fans in the Transfer Tavern are spending a lot of money on drinks, much like their owners were spending a lot of money on ensuring their club returned to the Premier League, which proved to be a successful mission.

Wolves, simply, have been no match to other rivals in the Championship, with their big chequebook certainly helping the cause. With the Premier League awaiting them next season, it’s already a foregone conclusion that Wolves will again spend big and one player our punters could see fitting in well with Wolves due to his former connections to Porto is Eliaquim Mangala, who is valued at £13.50 million on Transfermarkt.

With Wolves finding it successful to target players formally of Porto, (Willy Boly and Ruben Neves) Mangala could amend a poor couple of years with a move to the Premier League newcomers. When moving to Everton on-loan in January, this was sure to be seen as a chance for the Frenchman to redeem his Premier League woes but unfortunately injury has stopped any potential progression from occurring.

However, although this may put some of, it shouldn’t put Wolves of because having seen what he was like at Porto, Mangala still at the age of 27 has a value in the Premier League. Wolves aren’t short of money so fulfilling the Frenchman’s needs will not be a problem and despite only featuring in 17 games this season, a move to Molineux could allow fans to realise that although his move to Man City was a mistake, he could have a big part to play in helping Wolves undergo a successful spell back in the Premier League.
