The Wolves fans have now fully turned their attention to the soon to be opened transfer window following their long-awaited return to the Premier League.
Wolves dominated the Championship all season long and deserved to be promoted, but the top flight will pose a completely new challenge of which some current players might not be ready for.
In that case, the Wolves owners will need to spend again and following the success of signing Portuguese talent, our punters think Braga’s Ricardo Horta, who is valued at £4.5 million by Transfer Markt, could be a player that would enjoy a successful time in England.
Wolves have enjoyed huge amounts of success in the transfer market which largely helped steer the Molineux side back up into the Premier League, so why change a winning formula?
Diego Jota and Ruben Neves are just two shining examples of talented Portuguese players who’ve embarked on a new challenge with Wolves, consequently reaping the rewards. If Wolves can continue to add to their squad and bolster it with players such as Ricardo Horta, the Premier League transition could be made a lot easier.
The 23-year-old has scored 12 goals and managed to provide 8 assists for team-mates this season, proving alone that his reasonable valuation is one that Wolves should meet. Clearly, given his goal tally, he’s a brilliant finisher, but that’s not where his quality ends. He’s brilliant with the ball at his feet, with passing, dribbling and crossing all key parts of his game. The Championship winners certainly looked menacing going forward this season but will those same attacks be able to blossom in the top flight as well?
Either way, no one knows for sure yet – but Ricardo Horta could be a good player to even improve Wolves as they return to the Premier League for the first time since 2012.
