# Wolves: Tim Spiers flags Liverpool game as 10-year record could be broken

**Wolves have some tricky fixtures on the horizon as they head towards the Christmas period, and Tim Spiers’ hint could excite supporters.**

The West Midlands outfit will be boosted by Liverpool’s woes and could have the chance of overturning a [10-year streak](https://www.11v11.com/teams/liverpool/tab/opposingTeams/opposition/Wolverhampton%20Wanderers/) without a win at Anfield in the Premier League, with their last win coming in 2010 after Stephen Ward scored the only goal of the game for a side led by Mick McCarthy (via [BBC Sport](https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/9308904.stm)).

### Transfer Tavern take

No team has beaten Liverpool at their own place since 2017 and Wolves could be the first team to do so during that timeframe.

With the attacking players that Nuno has at his disposal, they are capable of doing some serious damage to the Reds’ makeshift backline.

Of course, Wolves will have to be at their best. If they have Raul Jimenez firing however, they have a real chance of making history.
