# Tottenham could lose key talent with 2018 in mind

**Much has been made about the links in regards to Tottenham Hotspur’s best players of late by the punters in the Transfer Tavern, particularly by those supporting Spurs.**

The likes of [Dele Alli and Kyle Walker](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/04/25/dele-alli-kyle-walker-speculation-must-not-disrupt-spurs-season/) have been touted as potential targets for Manchester City in recent weeks, though Pep Guardiola has [recently revealed](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4448154/Pep-Guardiola-insists-Man-City-don-t-want-Dele-Alli.html) he’s not after Alli, in particular.

As a result of the Spaniard’s comments, the north London locals were feeling rather relaxed.

However, a story from [Bleacher Report](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2706011-inside-football-city-tracking-spurs-star-and-strikers-set-for-moves?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-UK) has sparked concern once more. They [claim](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2706011-inside-football-city-tracking-spurs-star-and-strikers-set-for-moves?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-UK) that, while City aren’t keen right now, they could make a move for Alli in the summer of 2018.

Indeed, the [report claims](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2706011-inside-football-city-tracking-spurs-star-and-strikers-set-for-moves?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=programming-UK) there is a ‘strong possibility’ the Citizens will launch an attempt to land the England international next summer, with it being almost impossible to land him in a few months time.

If Alli is to go, many of the Spurs fans in the bar are hoping it’s for the likes of Real Madrid, rather than a Premier League move.

**Thoughts?**
