# Tottenham enter record-breaking talks with 23-year-old

**It’s been a strong start to the season for the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern, who’ve enjoyed an unbeaten start to the campaign.**

The optimism that their end of season collapse last term appeared to crush has once again returned to Mauricio Pochettino’s ranks after a series of good results.

With many first-team stars penning new deal on Hotspur Way, reports from the [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/714022/Tottenham-Harry-Kane-new-contract-England-international-Mauricio-Pochettino) have the North London locals dancing on the pool tables.

They [claim](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/714022/Tottenham-Harry-Kane-new-contract-England-international-Mauricio-Pochettino) the club are in record-breaking talks with star man Harry Kane over a blockbuster new deal for the 23-year-old.

He only penned a new deal back in February 2015, though there are talks [believed](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/714022/Tottenham-Harry-Kane-new-contract-England-international-Mauricio-Pochettino) to be underway about handing the England man improved terms already.

Any further agreement is [likely](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/714022/Tottenham-Harry-Kane-new-contract-England-international-Mauricio-Pochettino) to keep him at the club until 2021.

It’s [claimed](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/714022/Tottenham-Harry-Kane-new-contract-England-international-Mauricio-Pochettino) Kane will be in line to earn more a week than Gareth Bale did during his time at the Lane, who [reportedly](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/714022/Tottenham-Harry-Kane-new-contract-England-international-Mauricio-Pochettino) picked up a whopping £80k a week prior to his move to Real Madrid.
