# Tottenham fans likely to dread latest transfer line to emerge

**It’s been a truly remarkable campaign for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern, who’ve loved watching Mauricio Pochettino’s side continue to embark on an upward trajectory.**

Still, having missed out on the title, some of our north London locals are worried the club’s best players will be the target of financial powerhouses this summer. Indeed. reports from [the Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3587677/eric-dier-wants-to-leave-tottenham-along-with-kyle-walker-and-danny-rose-with-both-manchester-clubs-circling/) lend themselves exactly to that.

According to their [report](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3587677/eric-dier-wants-to-leave-tottenham-along-with-kyle-walker-and-danny-rose-with-both-manchester-clubs-circling/), England international Eric Dier is keen on leaving Hotspur Way this summer, following [reported £40m](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/04/22/manchester-united-hopeful-luring-40m-eric-dier-summer/) interest from Manchester United. It’s [believed](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3587677/eric-dier-wants-to-leave-tottenham-along-with-kyle-walker-and-danny-rose-with-both-manchester-clubs-circling/) the former Sporting Lisbon man has seen his head turned amid suggestions Jose Mourinho would like to sign him.

Currently [paid around](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3587677/eric-dier-wants-to-leave-tottenham-along-with-kyle-walker-and-danny-rose-with-both-manchester-clubs-circling/) £65,00p/w, Dier (along with teammates Kyle Walker and Danny Rose) is thought to realise he could double his wages elsewhere, much to the annoyance of the Spurs fans propping up our bar.

Having watched what looks like being the best Spurs side in years grow up recently, the idea of seeing a key man such as Dier depart is a scary one for our local Lilywhites.

**Thoughts?**
