# Tottenham fans on Twitter desperate to see more from Oliver Skipp

**Tottenham overcame a tough West Ham side yesterday, winning 3-1 at The London Stadium in the 4th round of the Carabao Cup and setting up a quarter-final tie with Arsenal. With the score at 3-1 and around five minutes on the clock, Oliver Skipp came on for Christian Eriksen to make his professional debut and it’s a moment he won’t forget.**

In truth, Skipp had little to do after coming on a sub, howeverm he helped keep possession and look well composed in and around the West Ham penalty area as he helped The Lilywhites see out the final few minutes and avenge the club’s 3-2 loss at this stage in the same competition from last season at Wembley. He did that, though, and after training all week with the first-team, he can expect more chances to be coming his way.

At the age of just 17, it’s so important that Oliver Skipp has his game time managed for the senior side. Mauricio Pochettino is very keen on acting upon the old cliche, if you’re good enough you’re old enough – and Skipp is certainly good enough. His tidy performances from a slightly deeper role would make him a superb option alongside a tougher tackling midfielder like Eric Dier and with the Lilywhites having a lot of fixtures to get through in the next few months, we could be about to see a lot more from Skipp.

> The fact the eriksen jokingly tried to give him the armband says so much about what the first team think about him! I can't wait to see him in the team again!

The Lilywhites all think very highly of Skipp and will be keen to see him show what he’s made of in the Premier League.
