The Tottenham U23s took on their Derby County equivalents and fell to a 2-1 loss, their first loss of the season. However, both Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga were absent from the squad and it’s given the fans an idea that the pair could be used in the senior side this weekend.

It would be a surprise to see either feature from the start if they were included, but both proved during pre-season that they have what it takes to hold their own in a Tottenham side at a good level as they featured against the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus, with [Football.London](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/spurs-first-half-player-ratings-16644650) complimentary about their performances.

The Lilywhites seem quite open to the idea of their youngsters in the senior side, even if they don’t get many minutes.
