# Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to club’s birthday tweet for Ryan Sessegnon

**Lots of Tottenham fans reacted to a post from [the club’s official Twitter account](https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1262284729354764288) wishing Spurs starlet Ryan Sessegnon a happy birthday.**

After arriving at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Fulham for [£24.3m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-sessegnon/profil/spieler/392775) last summer, Sessegnon has been [tipped for greatness](https://www.squawka.com/en/ryan-sessegnon-transfer-to-spurs-analysis-fulham/) and he has played in [a number of positions](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322611/Show/Ryan-Sessegnon) all over the pitch as Jose Mourinho has tried to find the perfect fit for the youngster, who [turned 20 yesterday](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-sessegnon/profil/spieler/392775).

Sessegnon notably scored in the [3-1 defeat](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-sessegnon/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/392775/saison/2019/wettbewerb/CL/verein/148) to Bayern Munich in the group stages of the Champions League and he has made three appearances in the competition overall, registering one assist, taking one shot per game, averaging one key pass and completing one interception on average ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322611/Show/Ryan-Sessegnon)).

Although it is fair to say his first season with the Lilywhites has been somewhat subdued, it is worth noting that he bagged 25 goals in [120 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-sessegnon/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/392775) for the Cottagers – vast experience for a player so young.

Unsurprisingly, Tottenham’s tweet prompted lots of replies, with some fans dubbing Sessegnon as an “idol” and a “great player.” One supporter even suggested that he will be the “next England legend”.
