**Tottenham supporters have all had to swallow their pride this season in regards to Moussa Sissoko. The Frenchman has been sublime in Mauricio Pochettino’s midfield, and yesterday the ex-Newcastle man was once again one of the star’s of the show, turning defence to attack in a heartbeat with his ability as a ball carrier.**

Sissoko played just under 75 minutes against the Premier League’s 20th placed side, yet he did everything right and didn’t let the opposition affect his game. The French midfielder was sublime throughout, providing an assist for the Lilywhites’ second goal when he slipped the ball into a pocket of space for Lucas Moura to fire home, and even with his assist aside, Sissoko played extremely well.

Pochettino will have been eager to give some of his top stars who featured yesterday a rest towards the end of the Huddersfield clash and hooking Sissoko to give him an extra 15 minutes rest is just a testament to how good he’s been this season. The former Newcastle man will certainly be starting in midfield against Manchester City, and if the Lilywhites are to get a positive result against then he’ll have to be at his very best.
