# Tottenham Hotspur: Fans want Christian Eriksen gone as Real Madrid linked with January agreement

**The Christian Eriksen transfer saga seems like it’ll never end! The Dane told Ekstra Bladet (via [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/transfer/news/11675/11735320/christian-eriksen-open-to-tottenham-exit-with-desire-to-try-something-new)) he wanted to leave Tottenham in the summer, and since then he’s looked off the ball in a Spurs shirt. Fans are growing tired of the constant uncertainty surrounding his future, and it seems like a large number of them now just want him out of their club.**

Aside from his performance against Arsenal at the start of the month, the 27-year-old has let games pass him by. He’s had an average rating of 6.5/10 in his three games since then (as per [WhoScored](https://no.whoscored.com/Players/69344/MatchStatistics/Christian-Eriksen)), and that’s not the form of a player who has been [touted to join Real Madrid](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/9744443/christian-eriksen-real-madrid-60m-bid-spurs-transfer-news/).

[The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/real-madrid-want-christian-eriksen-20176090) have reported the Spanish giants want to offer him a pre-contract agreement in January. When Spurs news aggregator [Daily Hotspur](https://twitter.com/Daily_Hotspur) posted the news on Twitter, it got a fairly negative reaction from supporters, as some can’t even believe Madrid still want him.

You can see some of their reactions to the tweet below:

> Hows he actually getting a move to madrid have they not seen him play recently 😂

> To me the Eriksen transfer saga is like Brexit: tedious & never-ending! Wish he’d gone over the summer, he clearly doesn’t want to play for us anymore.

> Ive always been a great fan of Erikson – but now – quite honestly – I hope he goes, because he sure as hell isnt performing for us any longer.

> just fulfill eriksen’s ambition and let him go we need everyone to be on the same page in the rebuild

> Such a shame that a player with such fantastic talent has been a shadow of his former self. And rather than showcase that talent he would rather play the way he is… it’s time to let go. Thanks for everything.

> The way he has been playing and disrespecting the manager and his team mates I say good let him go put someone in that shirt who actually wants to play for the club [#COYS](https://twitter.com/hashtag/COYS?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

> I hope he goes to Madrid . He won’t last a season out there playing like he has . They’d hound him out of the country. You seen what they did to bale who was absolutely brilliant for them
