**Writing for [football.london](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/tottenham-wonderkids-mourinho-levy-transfers-20267007.amp?__twitter_impression=true), reliable Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold has tipped promising barely-seen youngster Alfie Devine for more minutes next season as one of the Lilywhites talents who could save chairman Daniel Levy millions.**

Amid the tough financial outlook for Spurs brought upon by coronavirus, Gold explains in his piece that blockbuster summer dealings may prove challenging – with manager Jose Mourinho possibly having to adopt a sell-to-buy policy.

### Gold tips Tottenham nod for Devine

Shedding light on a possible silver lining for Tottenham, Gold has listed the Hotspur Way talents who could shine over 2021/2022 and save the club millions in transfer fees.

One of the starlets he has tipped for a nod next season is Devine, especially as he explains that the 2020 summer signing is in fact too young to be sent out on a loan spell.

As a result, Gold touts that he is likely to get more game time next season and could potentially shine for Spurs – with the 16-year-old having already broken a club record.

He became the club’s [youngster ever goalscorer](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/tottenham-wonderkids-mourinho-levy-transfers-20267007.amp?__twitter_impression=true) after firing home in a 5-0 demolition job away to Marine in the FA Cup, and the journalist explains that may just be the start.

### Transfer Tavern take

The teenager has had no shortage of plaudits, either, with Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher calling him ‘top class’ on [Twitter](https://mobile.twitter.com/Carra23/status/1284114035999477761) just before Spurs completed his signing.

Meanwhile, fellow youngster Japhet Tanganga recently lifted the lid on his energy behind the scenes – praising him as a ‘real spark’ when he gets picked to train with the senior side ([football.london](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/players/japhet-tanganga-reveals-wise-words-19601150)).

Time will tell whether Devine could save Levy millions, but it seems like there is definitely potential there for him to do so.
