**As Tottenham Hotspur team news emerges before Burnley, there has been an injury update on midfielder Oliver Skipp ahead of today’s Premier League clash.**

### The Lowdown: Spurs team latest…

As already confirmed by manager Antonio Conte, the Lilywhites are [without defender Japhet Tanganga](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/conte-hojbjerg-kane-sessegnon-burnley-23182579) for their trip to Turf Moor this evening and Sergio Reguilon [likely to be in the same bracket.](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/conte-hojbjerg-kane-sessegnon-burnley-23182579)

There were also some concerns surrounding star striker Harry Kane but the Tottenham head coach has now revealed that the 28-year-old [isn’t a doubt](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/conte-hojbjerg-kane-sessegnon-burnley-23182579) for this evening’s bout.

In an update on Skipp, Conte has also shared news on his injury situation.

### The Latest: Conte without Skipp…

In a blow for the Italian and Spurs, Skipp is unfortunately set to miss the Burnley clash alongside the likes of Tanganga given he is still not fully recovered.

*“About Skipp and Tanganga, they’re recovering but they are still not ready for the game against Burnley,” he explained (via [football.london](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/conte-hojbjerg-kane-sessegnon-burnley-23182579)).*

*“About Sergio \[Reguilon\], at yesterday’s training session, he wasn’t present but we’ll see today. I think the situation is the same as the last game but we hope Skipp, Tanganga, Sergio recover very soon because we need all of them.”*

### The Verdict: Blow for Conte…

The 21-year-old has been a real bright spark at times for Spurs this campaign and it’s safe to say his ineligibility comes as a blow for Conte.

According to [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/30/Show/England-Tottenham), the Englishman is a composed figure in midfield, averaging a higher pass accuracy (90.1%) than any Spurs player in the Premier League this season.

His form at points over the campaign even [spurred talks of fresh terms](https://theathletic.com/2868878/2021/10/05/the-rise-of-oliver-skipp-studious-powerful-and-a-dab-hand-on-the-oche/), backing former Norwich City manager Daniel Farke’s previous assessment of the player.

The Ex-Canaries boss called Skipp a [‘perfect’](https://lastwordonsports.com/football/2021/03/04/daniel-farke-praises-oliver-skipp/) player last year and Conte could’ve certainly done with his presence as an option for a tricky trip to Burnley.
