# Tottenham Hotspur: Club enquire about defender Sergio Reguilon – Man United, Juventus and Napoli also interested

**According to a report from Spanish outlet [Diario AS](https://en.as.com/en/2020/09/03/other_sports/1599113049_918256.html), Tottenham Hotspur have made an enquiry over La Liga full-back Sergio Reguilon – along with Premier League giants Man United who are also interested in a swoop for the defender.**

As well as the English duo, from across the continent, Juventus and Napoli have been displaying an interest following Reguilon’s impressive loan spell at Sevilla over 2019/2020 – but the Red Devils reportedly lead in a four-horse race to capture his signature ahead of the new season.

The marauding left-back has been a revelation over the last 12 months since agreeing to head out on a temporary spell away from his parent club Real Madrid, earning[international caps for Spain](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergio-reguilon/profil/spieler/282429) whilst also clinching a [Europa League title](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sergio-reguilon/profil/spieler/282429) with Sevillistas Rojiblancos.

Now, reportedly valued at around [£26.7 million](https://en.as.com/en/2020/09/03/other_sports/1599113049_918256.html), Spurs have made an enquiry over his signature as a potential upgrade on Ben Davies – with Julen Lopetegui claiming he has grown at a ‘[barbaric](https://www.managingmadrid.com/2020/8/22/21396608/lopetegui-reguilon-has-grown-at-a-barbaric-rate-i-hope-he-can-stay-with-us)‘ rate over the last campaign.

According to [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/362275/Show/Sergio-Reguil%C3%B3n), the speedster is particularly adept on the overlap and putting crosses into the box, managing more deliveries out wide per 90 than both [Davies and want-away defender Serge Aurier.](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/30/Show/England-Tottenham)

Given the fact star striker Harry Kane will be looking for all the support he can get, this can only be a positive due to Spurs’ enquiry, but journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that other positions in the squad could take priority.

Indeed, the search for a centre-back, winger and striker is on as per the Sky Sports man ([Last Word on Spurs](https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/summer-transfer-window-ft-fabrizio-romano/id1281903552?i=1000489871646)), but a move for the 23-year-old starlet also wasn’t ruled out.
