The severity of his injury has now been confirmed as Wolves released a statement saying he is in recovery from an operation on a fractured skill.

Given Jimenez’s huge impact in the Premier League since he was signed at Wolves, form that even prompted [links](https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-need-97m-land-stunning-18135500) to Spurs over the summer transfer window, the club are right to wish him all the best after what was a serious collision.

Spurs’ own injury woes come in the form of a muscular problem for Toby Alderweireld and Erik Lamela, who is still attempting to get fit in time for the north London derby.

As the Mexican forward continues his recovery after a completed procedure, football supporters can take comfort in the fact he is ‘comfortable’ and on the mend.
