# Tottenham Hotspur: Dan Kilpatrick shares big Harry Kane update

**Taking to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/dan_kp/status/1498975033565270016?s=21), reliable journalist Dan Kilpatrick has shared a big update on the future of Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.**

### The Lowdown: Spurs bow out…

Antonio Conte’s side have struggled to gain any sort of momentum in recent weeks with differing performances week in, week out.

[Tottenham latest developments!](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/web-stories/tottenham-latest-news-copy/)

Just a fortnight ago, Tottenham sealed a brilliant [3-2 win](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12544419/man-city-2-3-tottenham-harry-kane-lands-knockout-blow-to-ignite-premier-league-title-race) away to Premier League champions Manchester City in what was a fantastic display – particularly by Kane.

However, what followed was a dismal [1-0 loss to Burnley](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcQ1YG-0eX4&feature=onebox) at Turf Moor just a few days later, with that result coming after other shock defeats to the likes of [Wolves and Southampton](https://www.skysports.com/tottenham-hotspur-results) earlier in February.

Thereafter, an imperious [4-0 win at Leeds](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60441970) couldn’t be built upon as Spurs went crashing out of the FA Cup, again losing [1-0](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/34651/12554711/middlesbrough-1-0-tottenham-substitute-josh-coburn-sends-boro-into-fa-cup-quarter-finals-with-extra-time-winner), with Middlesbrough upsetting Conte’s men in extra time.

### The Latest: Kilpatrick shares Kane update…

Taking to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/dan_kp/status/1498975033565270016?s=21), Kilpatrick of The Evening Standard now says Spurs’ latest result throws Kane’s future into ‘further doubt’ as the England international had his eye on winning the competition.

*“Kane’s long-term future cast into further doubt by Spurs FA Cup exit,”* he explained*.*

*“Kane had made it clear that he would have considered winning the competition under Conte a significant step forward.”*

### The Verdict: Blow for Conte?

The 28-year-old, as evident by Pep Guardiola’s [repeated attempts](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10528881/Harry-Kane-Pep-Guardiola-says-Man-City-four-bids-rejected-Tottenham-striker-summer.html) last summer, will not be short of suitors.

After a [slow start under Nuno Espirito Santo](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10152165/Harry-Kane-dire-form-epitomised-Nuno-Espirito-Santos-failure-Tottenham.html), Kane has seemingly [rediscovered his best form](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10481185/Spurs-boss-Antonio-Conte-heaps-praise-Tottenham-talisman-Harry-Kane-Brighton-victory.html) as Manchester United have now become [linked](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/kane-manchester-united-transfer-rumours-23223240) with a potential summer move.

If Spurs don’t manage to go on a consistent run and finish the season strongly, question marks could surround whether he will remain in north London for another season or push to leave.
