# Tottenham Hotspur: Fabio Paratici ‘will certainly return’ for Dusan Vlahovic

**According to [Calciomercato.it](https://www.calciomercato.it/2021/09/22/calciomercato-inter-lautaro-barella-skriniar-brozovic-milan-kessie-theo-hernandez-juventus-de-ligt-dybala-vlahovic/), Tottenham Hotspur managing director Fabio Paratici is already set for a 2022 swoop as he eyes Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic.**

### The Lowdown: Spurs in summer chase…

As per numerous reports, Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for Vlahovic during the summer with suggestions that [talks were held](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1476229/Tottenham-transfer-news-Dusan-Vlahovic-talks-Lautaro-Martinez) and a [bid was made.](https://www.firenzeviola.it/l-opinione/vlahovic-ore-decisive-il-tottenham-lo-vuole-in-coppia-con-milenkovic-per-settanta-milioni-anche-rocco-sa-che-conviene-cederlo-se-non-rinnova-lirola-or-346569)

### The Latest: Paratici certain for 2022 Vlahovic move…

As per their sources, Paratici and Spurs ‘will certainly return’ with a swoop for the striker alongside La Liga giants Atletico Madrid – with Juventus also eyeing a move.

However, if the Lilywhites wish to land him, they may have to pay big money as Fiorentina are believed to value him at ‘no less’ than €70-€80 million (£60m-£70m).

Indeed, the Italian news website list Vlahovic as one of the Serie A big names who could leave at the end of this season.

### The Verdict: A must…

The 6 foot 3 forward would undoubtedly provide Tottenham and Nuno with some much-needed steel in the forward areas and a back up or alternative to Harry Kane.

Lauded as a ‘really exciting’ player by Serie A expert Conor Clancy, speaking exclusively to [The Transfer Tavern](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/serie-a-expert-calls-for-spurs-to-sign-dusan-vlahovic-if-harry-kane-is-sold-e186/amp/), Vlahovic also racked up an incredible 21 goals and two assists in 37 top flight outings last term ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/357498)).

Financially, this move is a tough ask, but it would certainly be a statement of intent by Paratici.
