# Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to latest transfer news as Dean Henderson linked with move

**Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing goalkeeper Dean Henderson in the summer transfer window, according to a report from the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8000407/PSG-plotting-summer-Manchester-Utd-keeper-Dean-Henderson.html).**

It is suggested that Spurs, along with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, are keeping an eye on the Manchester United stopper who is currently on loan at Sheffield United, who incidentally are also keen on doing a deal.

As it stands, it is unclear what the Red Devils will do with the 22-year-old. They are thought to view him as their future number one and he has really impressed for the Blades this season – keeping nine clean sheets, the joint-most in the Premier League ([premierleague.com](https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/clean_sheet?po=GOALKEEPER&se=274)), and also having a save percentage of 76% ([SofaScore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/dean-henderson/788134)).

However, standing in his way is David De Gea, who recently signed a new contract which will see him remain at Old Trafford until the summer of 2023 ([manutd.com](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/david-de-gea-signs-new-contract-with-manchester-united)). Henderson has reportedly said that he will only return to United next season if he is going to play ([Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/man-united-news-dean-henderson-17703388)), which seems unlikely given the Spaniard’s presence.

He could therefore either be loaned out again or sold and it seems that loads of Spurs fans would absolutely love to sign the shot-stopper. Indeed, many have taken to Twitter to urge the club to get a deal done, with one suggesting that he is better than Andre Onana, another goalkeeper with whom they have been linked ([Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7975131/Chelsea-Tottenham-ready-fight-50m-rated-Ajax-goalkeeper-Andre-Onana.html)).
