According to a report by [The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-7456681/Davinson-Sanchez-doubt-Tottenhams-clash-Crystal-Palace-picking-ankle-injury.html), the Colombian defender suffered an ankle injury whilst on international duty with the South American nation and is now thought to be a doubt for their London derby with Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The 23-year-old was used as a right-back in their previous fixture against fierce rivals Arsenal as Mauricio Pochettino’s options in the position have been severely depleted recently.

[Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2019/september/spurs-v-crystal-palace-team-news/) have both had to spend time on the sidelines with their own injuries, although the former could make a return, whilst Serge Aurier appears to be out of favour under the Argentine manager.

However, Sanchez appeared to struggle in the right-back slot, with his performance being described as ‘poor’ by [Football.London](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/fixtures-results/tottenham-player-ratings-son-sanchez-16849037).

Fans have taken to Twitter to share their reactions to the news that the 23-year-old is just the latest member of their squad to have picked up an injury whilst on international duty – joining Giovani Lo Celso on the treatment table – and have given some responses towards Sanchez.

Here are just some of their reactions…
