# Tottenham Hotspur: Fans want Troy Parrott to be given a chance following Son Heung-min’s injury

**Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans are calling for striker Troy Parrott to be given a chance in the first team following the injury news regarding Son Heung-min.**

It has been revealed that the South Korean fractured his right arm in Spurs’ 3-2 win against Aston Villa on Sunday and he will be missing for several weeks after surgery ([tottenhamhotspur.com](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2020/february/son-injury-update/)). The injury blow comes just weeks after another Tottenham forward, Harry Kane, was ruled out until at least April, having had surgery on a rupture in his left hamstring ([tottenhamhotspur.com](https://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/2020/january/harry-kane-injury-update/)).

It leaves the north London outfit extremely short of options up front. They do have the likes of Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn available but they are more suited to playing on the wing and the only fit out-and-out striker they have is 18-year-old Parrott.

The [Irish international](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/troy-parrott/nationalmannschaft/spieler/552655/verein_id/3509) has played just five minutes of Premier League football this season but has impressed at youth level by scoring six times in four UEFA Youth League matches, twice in the Premier League 2 and twice in the FA Youth Cup ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/troy-parrott/leistungsdaten/spieler/552655)).

Now that they are short of strikers, it seems that plenty of Spurs fans feel that this is the time for Jose Mourinho to give Parrott a proper chance in the first team. Here is what some had to say about it on Twitter…

> If there was ever time to put some trust in Parrott it is now. Start him against RB Leipzig and see what happens!
