# Tottenham Hotspur: Lilywhites make Dusan Vlahovic contact

**As per [TUTTOmercatoWEB](https://m.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/tmw-tottenham-scatto-per-vlahovic-contatti-in-corso-tra-le-parti-1595683), a Tottenham Hotspur development has surfaced as they keep their sights firmly on Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic.**

### The Lowdown: Tottenham miss out…

As reported in the summer window, Tottenham and managing director Fabio Paratici were targeting a new striker to support star frontman Harry Kane.

Indeed, the likes of [Lautaro Martinez and Vlahovic](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1476229/Tottenham-transfer-news-Dusan-Vlahovic-talks-Lautaro-Martinez) were on the Italian transfer chief’s list of targets and reports even claimed that Tottenham[made a bid.](https://www.calciomercato.it/2021/06/21/vlahovic-milan-atletico-tottenham-paratici-juventus-cristiano-ronaldo-fiorentina-commisso-calciomercato/)

Now, as Spurs retain their interest, [TMW](https://m.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/tmw-tottenham-scatto-per-vlahovic-contatti-in-corso-tra-le-parti-1595683) have come out with some news.

### The Latest: Spurs make contact…

As per the Italian source, contacts between La Viola and Spurs are ongoing with the Lilywhites ‘working’ behind the scenes.

It is claimed that the 21-year-old is ‘in the sights of Tottenham’ and he is a ‘strong Spurs idea’ as Paratici and co turn up the heat.

This is despite Paratici’s denial recently as he aims to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo’s ranks.

### The Verdict: Get it done…

Lauded as a ‘really exciting’ player by Serie A critic Conor Clancy ([The Transfer Tavern](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-transfer-rumours/serie-a-expert-calls-for-spurs-to-sign-dusan-vlahovic-if-harry-kane-is-sold-e186/)), Vlahovic is arguably one of the best attacking prospects in world football and comes as a very astute potential alternative to Kane.

The Serbia international bagged [21 goals in the Italian top flight alone last season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/dusan-vlahovic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/357498) and it’s safe to say Spurs could use more of this proficiency.

If Tottenham can swing a move, they would be orchestrating a brilliant bit of business.
