# Tottenham Hotspur: Lilywhites ‘willing to please’ Brozovic demands

**Taking to[Twitter](https://twitter.com/rudygaletti/status/1463140012787175430?s=21), Sportitalia TV reporter Rudy Galetti has shared an update on Tottenham’s pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.**

### The Lowdown: Brozovic wanted by Conte…

The Croatia international is one of many Serie A stars wanted by new Spurs boss Antonio Conte, it seems, with [Calciomercato.it](https://www.calciomercato.it/2021/11/01/calciomercato-conte-tottenham-de-vrij-chiesa-de-ligt-brozovic/) namedropping the midfielder among a host of other names.

It is also believed that the 52-year-old is personally ready to welcome Brozovic to Tottenham with ‘[open arms](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/brozovic-rinnovo-in-bilico-piu-difficile-del-previsto-per-l-inter-e-l-addio-non-e-impossibile-1607327)‘ as his contract winds down at the San Siro.

While the player himself has admitted he [wants to extend](https://football-italia.net/brozovic-admits-he-wants-inter-stay-amid-tottenham-and-newcastle-links/) over a move away, reports have kept refusing to rule out his possible exit if Brozovic’s demands aren’t met.

### The Latest: Spurs ‘willing to please’ Brozovic…

Sharing a [social media update](https://twitter.com/rudygaletti/status/1463140012787175430?s=21), it appears Inter are edging closer to meeting their midfield star’s demands of €7 million (£6.2m)-per-year.

The Nerazzurri are apparently willing to table an offer ‘similar’ to Lautaro Martinez’ wage at Inter, which amounts to around €6 million-per-year (£5.38m) plus add-ons.

Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain, however, are ‘at the window’ and ready to ‘please’ Brozovic in case an agreement can’t be reached – presumably meaning they are willing to meet his demands.

### The Verdict: Surprise Eriksen heir?

Remoulded as a playmaker under Conte at Inter last year, signing Brozovic on a pre-contract could secure Tottenham a bargain heir to former hero Christian Eriksen.

The Dane has been sorely missed at Spurs since his departure to the San Siro and Brozovic could actually come as a creative presence in his stead – especially going by his [WhoScored stats](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/87449/History/Marcelo-Brozovic).

He even averaged the same amount of [key passes per 90](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/87449/History/Marcelo-Brozovic) in the final third as Harry Kane did last season ([1.4](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/30/Archive/England-Tottenham?stageId=18685)), racking up six assists in that time whilst proving he can be a real threat going forward.

Former Inter manager Andrea Stramaccioni described Brozovic as a ‘[very precious](https://www.italy24news.com/News/250324.html)‘ asset to his former side and we believe the [70-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcelo-brozovic/profil/spieler/156617) star’s versatility would prove precious to Spurs also.
