# Tottenham Hotspur: Many fans are fearful of losing Harry Kane

**There has been plenty of talk following Tottenham Hotspur’s humiliating 7-2 loss at the hands of Bayern Munich in the Champions League.**

\[freshpress-poll id=”250781″\]

This has included criticism of [**Mauricio Pochettino**](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/tottenham-hotspur-many-fans-arent-interested-in-mauricio-pochettinos-inquests/) and the [**players**](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/tottenham/tottenham-hotspur-chris-waddle-rages-at-tottenham-players-after-bayern-munich-mauling/) from fans and pundits alike, with few managing to avoid judgement.

However, there is one thing many will have been hoping would be left out of the conversation that has now been mentioned by [**The Times**](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/tottenham-hotspur-fear-harry-kane-will-seek-summer-transfer-rqqj5rgl6) and **[Ricky Sacks](https://twitter.com/RickSpur/status/1179652438380470272)**, with the suggestion being made that Harry Kane may want to leave in the summer:

Just the mere idea of Kane moving from Spurs has got many of the club’s fans worried and thinking of life without him at their club.

Whether it is for footballing or emotional reasons, it is evident that there are a lot of Spurs fans who are desperate for the talismanic figure to stay, with the England captain recording a combined 200 goals and assists in 262 games for the club having come through the academy, as per [**Transfermarkt**](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-kane/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/132098/verein/148).

A selection of Twitter reaction to the report, including posts from concerned Spurs fans, can be seen below:

> We all knew this was gonna happen eventually, imagine we never see him lift a trophy for us, such a banter club

> Can’t blame him. He deserves more and with the way poch is acting nothing will improve. Always saying his dream is to manage Real Madrid is just proof he doesn’t want to be here, and kane deserves to go and win things.

> All clubs lose great players and you think it’s the end but they always find another, so on a football level would cope. On an emotional level losing HK would be like a death in the family

> Leavy, Pochettino & Kane need to sit down and talk/plan what direction the club is going. Who’s in, who’s out. Need to do whatever is necessary to keep Pochettino & Kane happy

> Thought this would happen. Why would a world-class player who could get into any team stay at [@SpursOfficial](https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) for what will be a major rebuilding job with no sign of trophies. That’s why it’s also laughable that people still talking about Dybala coming in Jan. [#AsIf](https://twitter.com/hashtag/AsIf?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)
