# Tottenham Hotspur: Many fans want Bruno Fernandes but don’t trust Daniel Levy to get him

**Tottenham Hotspur are ready to move for Bruno Fernandes in January, having failed to sign him in the summer, as reported by [A Bola](https://www.abola.pt/nnh/Noticias/Ver/809604).**

With Christian Eriksen’s contract at Spurs coming to an end in the summer of 2020, as per [**Transfermarkt**](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christian-eriksen/leistungsdaten/spieler/69633), while he could be [**offloaded in January**](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league/tottenham/tottenham-hotspur-many-fans-want-christian-eriksen-to-leave-in-january/), the Portuguese attacking midfielder is seen as a replacement for the Dane:

Many Spurs fans are very keen for this to happen, though they don’t have full confidence in Daniel Levy’s ability to get the deal over the line.

Some of them have claimed that the 25-year-old is exactly what they need, pleading with the Spurs chairman to stop pinching pennies and go out to get the deal completed.

The midfielder has got a very impressive 7 goals and 5 assists in 10 games across all competitions this season, as per [**Transfermarkt**](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bruno-fernandes/leistungsdaten/spieler/240306).

A selection of Twitter reaction to the report, including posts from hopeful Spurs fans, can be seen below:

> Classic levy. Should have just got the job done in the summer when we had personal terms all agreed. Instead we’ll most probably miss out on him and have messed up half the season by jan
