# Tottenham Hotspur: Italian source shares Marc Cucurella interest

**According to a report from Italian outlet [Tutto Juve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/esclusive-tj/tj-juve-e-tottenham-su-cucurella-599295) (via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-evaluating-signing-antonio-contes-main-objective-player-costs-e20m/)), Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Brighton wing-back Marc Cucurella.**

### The lowdown: Star arrival

The 23-year-old [arrived](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11741/12395762/transfer-news-brighton-confirm-signing-of-marc-cucurella-from-getafe-on-contract-until-2026) in England at the start of the season from Getafe and has enjoyed a stellar debut campaign in the Premier League.

Formerly of the youth setup at Espanyol and Barcelona, the marauding left-back amassed [209 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marc-cucurella/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/284857) in Spanish football before moving to Brighton, where he’s registered two assists in 35 showings.

As per [Tutto Juve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/esclusive-tj/tj-juve-e-tottenham-su-cucurella-599295), translated by [SW](https://sportwitness.co.uk/tottenham-evaluating-signing-antonio-contes-main-objective-player-costs-e20m/), Tottenham, as well as Fabio Paratici’s former employers, Juventus, are ‘evaluating’ whether or not to move for Cucurella this summer.

Under contract until 2026 ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marc-cucurella/profil/spieler/284857)), it’s claimed that the [one-cap](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marc-cucurella/nationalmannschaft/spieler/284857/verein_id/3375) Spain ace would cost €20million (£17.1million).

### The verdict: Reguilon’s replacement?

Blighted by injuries in recent times, Spanish wing-back Sergio Reguilon has been [extensively linked](https://www.givemesport.com/87998249-tottenham-27-5m-mourinho-signing-could-leave-hotspur-way%EF%BF%BC) with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer and Cucurella could be the man in line to fill the void.
