Graham Roberts has suggested that Harry Kane was left disappointed with the club’s decision to sack Jose Mourinho.
Kane has reportedly asked to leave the club, per Sky Sports, leading to interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
The London Evening Standard have reported that Kane believes he has a gentleman’s agreement with chairman Daniel Levy that will allow him to leave the club if a bid is tabled.
Will Kane leave Spurs?
Mourinho was sacked in April, with the club seventh in the Premier League table.
Kane subsequently sent a message to the Portuguese, insisting that it was a “pleasure” to work with him.
Kane did enjoy one of his very best goalscoring seasons this term, winning the Golden Boot after scoring 21 times in the Premier League.
And Roberts thinks that the Three Lions skipper was left disappointed with the departure of the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss.
Speaking exclusively to The Transfer Tavern, Roberts said: “When Mourinho left, Harry was one of the people who sent a message to Mourinho, ‘see you boss, you were brilliant for us’.
“I’m sure he was a bit disappointed with that.”
