Tottenham: Alasdair Gold shares news on Will Lankshear injury

Reliable journalist Alasdair Gold has shared another Tottenham Hotspur injury as starlet Will Lankshear could be ruled out for the rest of the season.
The Lowdown: Spurs suffer blows…
Reports first emerged of first-team goalkeeper and mainstay Hugo Lloris being ruled out for six-to-eight weeks, dealing a blow to manager Antonio Conte who must now call upon Fraser Forster.
Thereafter, it was announced by Spurs that summer signing and former Brighton star Yves Bissouma needed surgery to undergo repairs on a stress fracture.
The Premier League top-four chasers are without the two players for an extended period, and at academy level, Spurs youngster Lankshear is also been handed an injury blow.
The Latest: Gold shares Lankshear news…
Taking to social media, Gold claims the striker could now miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, explaining:
“It’s clearly injury time at Tottenham Hotspur. Understand young striker Will Lankshear looks set to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.”
The Verdict: Blow for Lankshear…
Signed from Sheffield United for £2 million in the summer of 2022, Lankshear came to Hotspur Way with plenty of promise.
The Englishman was making real strides at youth level before his injury too, scoring four goals and registering two assists for Tottenham’s Under-18s before being swiftly promoted to their Under-21s.
The 17-year-old is clearly beyond his years given the domination at his youth level.
In the process, Lankshear has arguably joined the likes of Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett as Spurs’ most promising up-and-coming prodigies.
Injuries of this magnitude can seriously hamper a young player’s progress so this setback will come as an almighty blow for the player personally.
The Lilywhites will be hoping Lankshear makes a swift recovery and keeps on firing.
