Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Bryan Gil 'could leave' in the January transfer market, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Bit-part player...

The Spaniard arrived at Spurs with great potential in the summer of 2021 as sporting director Fabio Paratici signed a youngster likened to Johan Cruyff.

Gil enjoyed a brilliant season on loan at Eibar before signing for the Premier League side in a swap deal from Sevilla, but he has found his opportunities limited in north London since then.

A productive loan spell at Valencia followed for the second half of 2021/2022, and as manager Antonio Conte continues to relegate him to the sidelines, a new report suggested he could be on the move again next month.

The Latest: Gil 'could leave' Spurs...

According to Estadio Deportivo, via Sport Witness, the midfielder 'could leave' Conte's side in January on loan again and one club's supporters dream of having him.

19th placed La Liga side Cadiz are namechecked and their fans would love to see Gil make the winter move.

The Verdict: Make it happen?

Called a 'very, very exciting' but 'raw' player by members of the media, Spurs simply need to allow the 21-year-old to go out and earn regular minutes.

Gil appears technically gifted and could one day go on to become a real gem for Tottenham, but it's clear Conte isn't willing to turn to him regularly, and his lack of physicality should hopefully prove less of a factor in a league he's more familiar with.
