Tottenham Hotspur, and sporting director Fabio Paratici by extension, are 'readying' a move for Slovakia international Milan Skriniar, according to reports.

The Lowdown: Paratici planning?

The Spurs transfer chief oversaw one of the club's most active windows in recent memory over the summer, completing eight major signings in total including a permanent deal for Cristian Romero.

Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie joined the Argentine in putting pen to paper on permanent moves to N17, and reports suggest that the Premier League giants could also make more moves in 2023.

Most recently, Tottenham have been linked with a move for Skriniar, who is set to be out of contract at his current club Inter Milan next summer as things stand.

The Latest: Spurs 'readying' Skriniar move...

A new report has shared an update on the north Londoners and their possible swoop for the Slovakia centre-back.

It is claimed that Spurs and Paratici are one of the many clubs 'readying moves' for Skriniar with Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea also expressing interest.

90min claim that the Lilywhites, alongside this long list of English big-hitters, all 'remain in contact with Skriniar's agent' to keep informed of his contract situation.

The Verdict: Get it done?

Signing Skriniar for a free next summer would be a brilliant move by Paratici, especially considering the player's brilliant performances in Serie A.

As per WhoScored, no Nerazzurri player has made more blocks per 90 or averaged a better pass accuracy (92.1%) than the 27-year-old, leaving little wonder as to why he is a mainstay in Simone Inzaghi's side.

Members of the Italian press have raved over the 'monster' defender in the last two seasons, and Tottenham could sign an elite ball-playing centre-back colossus for nothing if all goes to plan.
