Tottenham star joins exclusive club as media react
The South Korean international buried an early first half header to open the scoring, feeding off Gareth Bale’s cross, with the strike putting him alongside Harry Kane (29), Martin Chivers (22) and Jermain Defoe (20) as the only Tottenham stars to reach that accolade.

It is no secret that the attacker has been a revelation for Tottenham this season alongside star striker Kane, with pundit Micah Richards telling BBC Final Score back in January that he is ‘just incredible‘.
Now, further evidence of that has come to light as he joins an ‘exclusive club’ at Spurs and becomes one of only four players to score over 20 goals in European competition.
Time will tell whether he surpasses Kane’s record in Europe, but it will certainly be interesting to see over the next couple of seasons.
