Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming at the news that all heads of departments at the north London club have been forced to take a 20 per cent pay cut following the pandemic outbreak, but this does not include Jose Mourinho.
A report from Football Insider, relayed by Spurs journalist Ricky Sacks on Twitter, stated that recruitment chief Steve Hitchen has had to shut down his department as well as take the pay cut in a drastic call of action.
Following this news, some supporters may become disgruntled at the fact that the club’s scouting work has been put on hold, meaning that they cannot look at potential new targets for the summer transfer window.
Earlier this week, an announcement was made by Daniel Levy which was posted on the Lilywhites’ official website. It read that all 550 non-playing members of staff had seen their salary cut by the same figure and were put on furlough in order to cope with the financial crisis.
These Spurs fans were fuming at the latest news on Twitter:

Lost all respect for Levy. The club should be paying non playing staff and not abusing the furlough scheme. The players is a separate issue

And we wonder why key staff leave for other clubs

He really can’t afford to drop any of his £15 million a year can he?
