Tottenham ‘working’ with Antonio Conte contract talks ‘set to intensify’

Tottenham ‘working’ with Antonio Conte contract talks ‘set to intensify’ -Tottenham Hotspur News

Tottenham Hotspur are ‘working’ on a new contract for manager Antonio Conte as a report which emerged over the last 48 hours shares the latest on his future.

The Lowdown: Spurs transformed under Conte…

It has been nearly a year since Spurs sacked former manager Nuno Espirito Santo, putting an end to his regrettable reign in north London and giving birth to the Conte era.

Appointed last November, the Italian has instilled a winning mentality at Hotspur Way whilst seemingly changing the mood in and around the club.

Conte guided Spurs to a pivotal top-four Premier League finish at the back end of 2021/22, gifting them Champions League qualification and a subsequent £150m equity injection from ENIC.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici then backed the former Chelsea boss with an array of top signings in Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence, Destiny Udogie and a permanent deal for Cristian Romero.

The Latest: Tottenham ‘working’ on new Conte deal…

Currently level on points with English champions Manchester City, Spurs have lost just once in the top flight so far this season, and it appears that they are continuing their real momentum under Conte.

As a result, the N17 hierarchy wish to extend the 53-year-old’s current deal at the club, with Football Insider sharing an update on Sunday morning amid their news on Harry Kane.

In the Kane report, they state that Spurs are ‘working’ on Conte’s new deal, with talks ‘set to intensify’ during the mid-season break in November.

The Verdict: Get it done…

A serial winner, the 53-year-old will not want to sully his brilliant managerial record with a damp end to his spell at Tottenham.

Spurs fans, do you remember who scored your first goal of the season against Man City?

Taking this into account, Conte will surely want reassurances that chairman Daniel Levy and co intend to keep backing him as he aims to keep Spurs fighting for silverware and near the top of the Premier League table.
