Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has shared a Tottenham Hotspur and Harry Kane exit update he's heard from his colleagues.

The Lowdown: Bayern eye move...

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are thought to be eyeing a move for the Spurs superstar as they seek a world class striker to replace the departed Robert Lewandowski.

It is believed that Kane could become a 'hot topic' at the Allianz Arena and the Lilywhites big name is certainly going the right way about remaining of interest to Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann.

The 29-year-old has scored six goals in seven Premier League appearances already and currently ranks as Tottenham's best-performing player by average match rating (WhoScored).

The Latest: Sheth shares Kane exit news...

It is believed that Bayern talks are going on 'internally' over a move for the forward as they continue weigh his possible 2023 signing.

“This was from when we were in Milan, we were speaking to Florian Plettenberg and Marc Behrenbeck about this and they tell me that there are talks internally at Bayern Munich about trying to sign Harry Kane.”

The Verdict: Worry for Conte?

Depending on whether Spurs boss Antonio Conte stays in north London long enough, losing Kane to Bayern next year could come as an almighty blow to the Italian tactician.

Finding his replacement would be a near-impossible task for sporting director Fabio Paratici given there are arguably very few strikers of his ilk who are affordable or would favour joining Spurs over more prestigious sides.

Out of all the players recently linked with Tottenham, you could make a case for Belgium star Romelu Lukaku given he has already dazzled under Conte at Inter Milan.

However, his lacklustre 2021/2022 season at Chelsea would be cause for concern and there are question marks raised over his suitability to English football - not to mention his potentially sky high price tag to sign him permanently.

Indeed, this could be a headache Spurs would much rather avoid.
