Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react to Vincent Janssen’s latest comments.
Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to voice their thoughts on Vincent Janssen’s honest verdict on his time at the club.
Having arrived from Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar in a £17m deal back in the summer of 2016, Janssen no doubt came with a burgeoning reputation in European football.

But his time in north London was nothing short of a disaster, making just 42 appearances across all competitions, and scoring only six goals.
It was no surprise therefore that Spurs eventually let him go on a permanent deal to Mexican outfit Monterrey last summer.
Is Janssen the biggest flop of the Pochettino era?
Speaking to VTBL about his time in the Premier League, Janssen admitted it wasn’t what he had hoped for, and that he “didn’t make the minutes there that I expected”.
After hearing his comments, Spurs fans took to Twitter to voice their thoughts on what their former striker had to say.
Ironically if he’d of stayed he would have found himself in the team for a run of games with Sonny and Kane missing.
He just hadnt played enough top level football before we bought him. It was a big risk. It’s being repeated with Ndombele to an extent. Only 1/2 seasons in Ligue1

mate you’re playing in mexico at the near peak of your age – it’s not the minutes that were the issue

The problem was not Vinny, the problem was that he came from Az, a small club with less pressure, to Tottemham Hotspur, a club under constant pressure like Ajax. That is why players from Ajax, Feyenoord and PSV have more chances to succeed at clubs under pressure.

Still think if he scored in his opener against Everton it would have been different. He got in the right positions and his hold up play was good.

Another example of horrendous scouting, we just buy to many players not suited to the prem
