Tottenham transfer chief Fabio Paratici has hailed Spurs youngster Destiny Udogie amid his current loan spell at Udinese.

The Lowdown: Spurs sign starlet...

The Italian joined Spurs last summer in a deal worth around £15 million plus potential performance-related bonuses, but upon his arrival, Udogie was immediately loaned back to Udinese.

Premier League champions Man City and Brighton were also thought to be tracking the wing-back but it was Antonio Conte's side who ultimately won the race for his signature.

Udogie made 35 Serie A appearances for Udinese over the 2021/2022, scoring five goals and marking himself out as one of Italy's top defensive talents.

The Latest: Paratici hails 'really good' Udogie...

Speaking to Tottenham's official website, Paratici hailed the 20-year-old when asked what he can bring to Spurs upon the expiry of Udinese's loan deal.

He explained:

"He is a wing-back, he has a really, really, really good left foot, offensive phases are really good, he creates a lot of opportunities to score, make assists so he’s a complete player.”

The Verdict: Huge talent...

Paratici isn't the only man to praise Udogie's real potential recently.

Udinese manager Andrea Sottil has also waxed lyrical over the Italy Under-21 international this season, calling him 'extraordinary' whilst claiming he's 'grown a lot'.

This is a brilliant sign for Spurs and Conte given Udogie fits into the club's mould of signing players for the future whilst also adhering to their manager's desire for bright, attack-minded wing-back options.

According to WhoScored, the left-sided ace ranks as Udinese's third-best league performer by average match rating and also sits in their top five for key passes made and completed dribbles per 90.

If Conte stays beyond this season, the former Chelsea boss could have a very promising option awaiting him later this year.
