Fabrizio Romano has shared Tottenham Hotspur's transfer plan after sealing a surprise deal for Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma.

The Lowdown: Spurs swoop in...

During the eleventh hour of Everton's move for Danjuma, reports then emerged that the north Londoners had hijacked the deal in a late swoop.

Reliable sources like Romano then shared information that the attempt was successful and Spurs had indeed plucked Danjuma out of the Toffees' hands.

After a January-esque turn of events, Spurs supporters have now been told what the club intent to do after signing the Dutchman.

The Latest: Spurs schedule Porro talks...

According to Romano, sharing news on Twitter, the north Londoners have 'scheduled' a new round of talks over Porro today.

This comes after their last proposal of €37m (£33m) wasn't enough with Spurs now set to make another attempt.

He explained:

"After Danjuma deal done, Tottenham scheduled new meeting on Wednesday to sign Pedro Porro — last proposal for €37m was not enough.

"Spurs hope to convince Sporting using add-ons and/or player in the deal — been told payment terms will also be crucial."

The Verdict: Perfect player...

We believe signing Porro after Danjuma is crucial given he's arguably the perfect player to add proven attacking flair to Antonio Conte's ranks.

As per WhoScored, the former Man City defender ranks in Sporting's top three players overall going by his performances in the Liga Portugal this year.

Porro also attempts their second-highest rate of shots at goal and key passes made per 90 on average whilst also ranking in their top five for completed dribbles (WhoScored).

The 23-year-old boasts more league assists than any of his teammates also, and it's clear that if Conte wants an attacking full-back, Porro looks like the best answer.

He's been heralded in the media as a 'sensational' full back already and one of the best wing-backs in world football - making you wonder why Spurs don't just pay his €45 million (£39.5m) release clause.
