Tottenham Hotspur may have just been handed a boost regarding Antonio Conte's future as Sky journalist Gianluca Di Marzio shares some news.

The Lowdown: Conte transformation...

The Italian has almost single-handedly transformed the fortunes of Spurs almost a year after his appointment to replace ex-head coach Nuno Espirito Santo.

Conte guided the Lilywhites to a Premier League top four finish right at the end of 2021/2022, subsequently receiving a £150 million equity injection from ENIC to bolster his squad.

The Lilywhites and sporting director Fabio Paratici then backed their boss with moves for Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence, Destiny Udogie and a permanent deal for Cristian Romero.

It's been era of, mostly, positivity thus far under the 53-year-old but there have been murmurs of major sides from the continent taking an interest in Conte as a result.

The Latest: Di Marzio shares possible Conte contract boost...

Speaking in an interview, Sky reporter Di Marzio has shared a possible boost for Spurs amid claims they are set to offer the Italian a new deal.

The journalist claims (via Spurs Web) Conte 'definitely' wants to stay in north London, but the ball is in Spurs' court, and they must be on the 'same page' when it comes to winning trophies.

The Verdict: Good news?

Conte's happiness in terms of life in London certainly comes as a good bit of news.

That could hand Spurs an uplift when it comes to negotiating fresh terms over an extension for the ex-Inter Milan coach, but it's up to chairman Daniel Levy to convince him there is silverware to be won at Hotspur Way.

So far, the north Londoners have shown that they are serious about Conte, as evident by their summer spending spree, but another January foray could be a real statement that they want to clinch major trophies.
