Tottenham Hotspur: Alasdair Gold predicts two starting XI changes versus Sheffield United

Alasdair Gold has predicted that Spurs will make two changes from their 1-1 draw versus Fulham when they select their starting XI away at Sheffield United this afternoon.
Writing in his latest piece for football.london, the sports journalist thinks that both Davinson Sanchez and Harry Winks will make way for Toby Alderweireld and Steven Bergwijn in the starting line-up for the game against the Blades.

Spurs may make changes
Sanchez may count himself as a tad unlucky to be dropped should Jose Mourinho decide to play Alderweireld instead, as the £36m-valued man put in a fairly decent overall display last time out against Scott Parker’s team, as he won no fewer than six of his duels on the night, the joint-second most out of any of his teammates behind Tanguy Ndombele’s mammoth 15, and also made more clearances (5) and the joint-most tackles (4) out of any Tottenham Hotspur player (Sofascore).
On the other hand, the dropping of Winks is not a bad call at all by Gold assuming that Mourinho sticks to a 4-2-3-1 formation, as Moussa Sissoko could then move back into his more natural position to play centrally alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg while Bergwijn could then fill the vacant spot left by the France international on the right-wing.
Nonetheless, it was a very disappointing result at home to the relegation-threatened Cottagers in midweek, and so it may not be a surprise if Mourinho decides to make a couple of changes for their match against Chris Wilder’s men later today.
