Tottenham Hotspur: Gold drops claim on Reguilon’s revelation

Tottenham Hotspur reporter Alasdair Gold has dropped a claim about Sergio Reguilon’s revelation that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg sent the Spaniard a lengthy WhatsApp message when he joined Spurs.
The £25.2m-rated left-back has been discussing his September arrival at the north London club and Gold has shared his comments in a recent article for Football.London.
What is Reguilon’s Hojbjerg revelation?
Reguilon shared “one thing that nobody” knew about his arrival at Spurs when he joined presenter Ben Haines for Tottenham’s N17 Live matchday show ahead of the Lilywhites’ 2-0 Premier League win over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.
The 24-year-old revealed that Hojbjerg, who had only arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium just over one month before Reguilon, was particularly keen to greet the new signing and welcome him to Spurs.
He explained that the Danish midfielder’s message was a “big” one and he still brings it up in conversation with the ex-Southampton man “every time” he sees him.
What has Gold said about this revelation?
In his tweet sharing this article, Gold declared that Hojbjerg’s message “clearly made an impact” on Reguilon, based on how the Spain international spoke about it.
Perhaps Gold got this impression from Reguilon explaining that he still brings this message up with Hojbjerg today and the fact that he also shared he feels it was “important” for someone to greet him like Hojbjerg did.
Transfer Tavern take
Surely this revelation and Gold’s claim that Hojbjerg’s message “clearly made an impact” on Reguilon will go down well with fans of the north London club, as it certainly seems like Hojbjerg helped his fellow new signing – who is currently Tottenham’s joint-third highest assist provider in the league, tied on three with Hojbjerg himself – to feel welcome at Tottenham quite quickly.
Who has been better this season?
