Tottenham Hotspur: Fans gush over Giovani Lo Celso’s highlight reel

Loads of Tottenham fans were left raving about a post from the club’s official account showing clips from Giovani Lo Celso’s highlight reel.
Spurs tweeted footage of Lo Celso terrorising teams this season with some sensational dribbles, including his astonishing display against Southampton in the FA Cup.
Indeed, he has arguably been one of the few positives of Tottenham’s difficult season so far.
The Argentine fought for his place in the starting lineup after recovering from a hip injury, and it is fair to say the 24-year-old hasn’t once looked back.
In fact, as a result of his impressive performances on the pitch, the board have decided to make his loan move from Real Betis permanent (BBC). He famously signed his contract on the same day Christian Eriksen left for Inter Milan.
Who should be Spurs first-choice midfielder?
Tanguy Ndombele
Giovani Lo Celso
Ever since he arrived in North London in August 2019, Lo Celso has played 5 games in the Champions League for Jose Mourinho’s side, scoring 1 goal, taking 1.6 shots per game, averaging 1.4 key passes, and completing at least 2 dribbles on average (via WhoScored).
He has also made 19 appearances in the Premier League, coming off the bench on 7 occasions up until now.
Mourinho has previously said “we know the good player he is, give him time to develop and we think he is going to be a good player for us.”
Unsurprisingly, lots of Spurs supporters gushed over the club’s “amazing” update on social media, with one eager fan tweeting the “league ain’t ready,” and another dubbing the midfielder a “baller.”
