Writing on Instagram, in reply to a post, Jose Mourinho dropped a teasing hint for unseen Spurs prodigy Dilan Markanday after he failed to come off the bench during Tottenham’s 4-0 win at home to Europa League minnows Wolfsberger – simply stating ‘your day will arrive‘ as his young teammates got cameos.
Mourinho in particular was wowed by promising youngster Dane Scarlett (football.london), who notched an assist for summer signing Carlos Vinicius, with Nile John and Marcel Lavinier coming on to make their senior debuts.
While there was no room for Markanday to make his first senior team appearance, the Tottenham boss later sent a hint on Instagram that his senior bow for Spurs could be just around the corner.
