Tottenham: Paratici could still make moves after deadline day

Tottenham: Paratici could still make moves after deadline day -Premier League News

Tottenham Hotspur still have the opportunity to get some business over the line during the weeks ahead thanks to a technicality with differing deadlines in other European nations.

The Lowdown: Paratici’s summer

Fabio Paratici got off to a rapid start with his transfer business, securing seven new signings in the form of Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Clement Lenglet, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie, as well as agreeing a permanent deal for Cristian Romero.

As a result of Spurs being busy in the market so early on, it was a very quiet end to the window for the Premier League giants, with no incomings or outgoings taking place on deadline day, but that doesn’t mean the activity has to stop there.

The Latest: Spurs may not be finished

According to Football.London, Tottenham have ‘a chance’ to make additional signings upon the conclusion of the summer due to some countries still having their windows open.

It’s stated that Belgium’s isn’t set to close until September 6, Turkey and Russia’s are two days later, Greece’s window will shut on September 15 followed by the final one which is Israel, with theirs completing the pack on September 28.

Whilst Spurs haven’t had ‘heavy links’ to any players in these leagues, it’s claimed that this ‘could change’ in the weeks ahead, so Paratici’s scouring around the market is not finished quite yet.

The Verdict: A decent window

It yet remains to be seen whether Antonio Conte and Paratici will identify any potential targets in these countries, but they’ve got to be happy with the business already completed.

The players that have come in have strengthened in defence, midfield and attack, and this will have created some good squad depth which the boss will need given the increased number of fixtures with the Champions League coming up.

Spurs fans, do you remember who scored your first goal of the season against Man City?

Paratici also managed to sanction some loan exits for the likes of Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon, so overall, it appears to have been a pretty good turnover for the director of football.
