Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has dropped a quadruple pre-season exit claim regarding Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Harry Winks and Sergio Reguilon.

The Lowdown: Spurs’ pre-season concludes

All eyes for Spurs fans will have been on their last friendly of pre-season today, but away from the clash against AS Roma, Fabio Paratici is still busy making moves.

Whilst Conte caps off the Lilywhites’ preparations for the new Premier League season, Paratici will have been hard at work refining the squad behind the scenes, looking towards outgoings now after signing six new players already this summer .

The Latest: Conte’s press conference

Speaking to the press ahead of Tottenham’s friendly against Roma, Conte shared his verdict on the omissions of Ndombele, Lo Celso, Winks and Reguilon from his pre-season squad.

As quoted by football.london, the Spurs boss revealed:

“I think that we spoke with the club and the players are informed about the plans for the next season. We are talking about really good players and the club and I, we think they deserve to play games regularly. For this reason these players are not here.”

The Verdict: Time to leave

With Paratici's new signings all looking very exciting so far, minutes on the pitch will only become scarcer for those omitted from the side’s various pre-season tours.

As a result, with everyone’s best interests in mind, transfers away from the North London outfit will be the most beneficial option for both the players and the club.

With the World Cup taking place later this year, those aiming to go to the tournament will be needing to play regular football in the build-up to squad selections. And with game time limited at Tottenham, moves are needed to ensure players have the greatest chance possible of selection.
