Tottenham: John Wenham raves about Mikey Moore

Tottenham Hotspur expert John Wenham has raved about ‘exciting’ young striker prospect Mikey Moore.
The Lowdown: Tottenham’s World Cup stars
Tottenham have some quality attacking options in their ranks who have recently been competing at the World Cup, with the likes of Richarlison scoring three goals in the Qatar tournament before his side bowed out to Croatia on penalties on Friday night.
Harry Kane has also weighed in with three assists and a goal en-route to England reaching the quarter-final stage, and it looks like Spurs could now have produced another player in his ilk…
The Latest: Wenham’s comments
Speaking to Football Insider, Wenham waxed lyrical about the 15-year-old starlet, who is already playing well above his age group, and performing well:
“There has been a big deal about a player Man City have just signed from Sheffield United, a lot of teams wanted him,”
“I have spoken to a lot of people at Tottenham and people who know their stuff about youth football and they all say Mikey Moore is better than him.
“That’s how highly they rate this guy. Everyone I speak to claims he has what it takes to go to the very top level. Even players a couple of years older, they’re all talking about him.
“After I watch him this week I am sure I will have even more to say but this guy is so exciting.
“He is making a load of progress too as he is playing a few age groups higher than he was expected to this season.”
The Verdict: Future star
Wenham previously described the youngster as “outstanding“, and for good reason, as he is already putting in displays way beyond his years in the U18 Premier League this season, registering two goals and three assists in seven outings.
Considering that the marksman is also doing this in a higher age group than he would be expected to play in at this early stage, the future is looking very bright at Hotspur Way, and Antonio Conte could have a real talent on his hands in the next few years, if he continues to show such promising signs.
