Journalist Alasdair Gold spotted Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte's anger with one player during an on-field incident this week.

The Lowdown: Spurs share spoils...

The Premier League top-four contenders were forced to share their spoils on Tuesday evening after a 0-0 draw away to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.

Conte's side were frustrated by the Europa League champions after squandering a plethora of opportunities to find an all-important breakthrough.

Spurs front three Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison were arguably not at their clinical best in Germany with Frankfurt giving the north Londoners a tough, tough task.

As such, the Lilywhites' campaign to reach the knockout phase remains on a knife edge with both Frankfurt and Spurs level on points in Group D.

The Latest: Journalist spots Conte fury...

Now, writing for football.london and on Twitter, reporter Gold has shared what he spotted on the touchline with Conte left 'angry' at one of his players.

The suspect, young midfielder Bryan Gil, attracted the Italian's wrath for being knocked off the ball too easily - leaving Conte to repeatedly shout at his man whilst slamming his fist into his palm.

Gil, as per Gold, was left visibly confused on the pitch but Conte came back around to repeat the gesture.

The Verdict: Interesting...

The Spaniard was widely linked with a return to La Liga in the summer window after a brilliant second-half-of-season loan spell at Valencia over 2021/2022.

Alas, the move did not come to fruition with Spurs seemingly electing to keep Gil amid a lack of creative midfield options.

Clearly, despite the 21-year-old's real promise, Conte sees flaws in his game - namely a real need to grow more accustomed to the physical side of the game.
