Sky journalist Michael Bridge has shared an update for Tottenham Hotspur supporters amid claims of renewed interest in Everton winger Anthony Gordon.

The Lowdown: Spurs reignite Gordon move?

On Thursday afternoon, some rumours emerged of the 21-year-old becoming of interest again to Spurs with there even being suggestions that Gordon has been in London to speak to Spurs in recent days.

This information understandably got supporters talking on social media, especially as the forward is heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park and has missed training at points this week.

Tottenham are understood to still be interested in attackers despite Arnaut Danjuma's signing with reporter Dharmesh Sheth revealing that Nicolo Zaniolo remains on their radar.

The Latest: Bridge shares Gordon to Spurs update...

Sky reporter Bridge, writing on Twitter, has now quashed rumours that the north Londoners could be back in for Gordon before January 31.

He stated:

"Am told there is no truth in any renewed Tottenham interest in Anthony Gordon."

The Verdict: Right move?

The youngster has impressed in parts for Everton since he became a full regular in the side last season, earning plaudits for some 'frightening' games last season.

Pundits like Paddy Kenny also believe he has the potential to become an 'unbelievable player' and another possible Spurs attraction would be the fact he is homegrown.

However, Gordon missed training repeatedly this week, potentially trying to force a move away, and that could suggest that he has the potential to be a disruption in Antonio Conte's dressing room.

This season, the Englishman has three goals in 16 top flight appearances to his name and reports state that Everton could demand as much as £60 million.

A price tag of that magnitude would place Gordon among Spurs' most marquee transfers in history and it is debateable whether that investment would bare real fruit.

Amid Tottenham's interest in Zaniolo, we believe the Italian could be a better option the Toffees man if Conte does wish to make another attacking signing.
