Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in signing Wolves winger Adama Traore, according to TEAMtalk.

The Lowdown: Porro a target

Antonio Conte appears to be on the search for a new right-wing back this month, with Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Porro a personal target for the Spurs boss. Reports have stated that talks are underway over a transfer, although Tottenham officials don’t want to fork out for the player’s €45m (£39.8m) release clause.

A transfer may well materialise over the coming weeks, and it looks as if Traore - previously hailed as ‘unplayable’ by Jurgen Klopp - is still a target in N17.

The Latest: Traore interest

TEAMtalk provided an update on Traore’s future on Thursday, with the Spaniard now into the final six months of his Wolves contract.

They claimed that Spurs and Leeds could do battle for the 26-year-old, with Tottenham long-term admirers of the winger, who is keen on remaining in the Premier League.

The Verdict: Finally?

Traore has been of interest to Spurs for a long time now, with Sky Sports claiming last February that the north Londoners were closing in on a deal.

As we know, it failed to get over the line, but with Traore’s contract at Molineux running down, 2023 could finally be the year that he makes the move to Tottenham.

He has been hailed by pundit Noel Whelan as the 'perfect fit' and a 'game-changer' signing for Spurs, so a cut-price move could be on the cards for Traore, who may provide a versatile option for Conte on the right-hand side.
