### The Verdict: Make it happen

Antonio Conte has first-hand experience of the talent that the [£29k](https://salarysport.com/football/player/pedro-porro/)-per-week earner possesses, owing to a stellar display against his side in the Champions League earlier this season, in which he displayed his creative abilities by creating [one](https://www.sofascore.com/tottenham-hotspur-sporting-cp/Isbkb) big chance.

Attacking contributions are an important part of the 5 foot 9 full-back’s game, as indicated by [four](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/pedro-porro/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/553875) assists in ten league games this season, however he is also diligent in his defensive duties, registering [two](https://www.sofascore.com/tottenham-hotspur-sporting-cp/Isbkb) interceptions in the same match against Spurs, the joint-highest amount of any player.

Lauded as a ‘[special talent](https://twitter.com/ZachLowy/status/1583935801309601792?s=20&t=ry6sW1qc5o_XFO33rGYHJA)‘ and [‘best right back in Portugal’](https://twitter.com/ZachLowy/status/1583935801309601792?s=20&t=ry6sW1qc5o_XFO33rGYHJA) by writer Zach Lowy, Porro represents a fantastic option at right-back for many years to come, as his ability going forward would make him a perfect fit in Conte’s wing-back system, which he has opted for in [every](https://www.footballcritic.com/tottenham-hotspur-fc/formations/472) match so far this season.

La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona [also want the player](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fichajes/20221205/1001903344/pedro-porro-perla-mercado.html), perhaps summing up his obvious ability.
