### The Verdict: Fantastic news

This will come as great news to manager Antonio Conte, who previously claimed that he is “[an important player for Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2022/02/08/antonio-conte-oliver-skipp-tottenham-hotspur/)”.

This follows [Jose Mourinho’s](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-oliver-skipp-loan-jose-mourinho-a4501651.html) opinion of the youngster, who once claimed Skipp is “genuinely Tottenham’s future”, even tipping him to go on and captain the club.
